J'aime l'intensité et les couleurs vives ou contrastées qui donne une impression de vibrations en peinture. Je vois cela comme des radiations de force, de vie en fait. La période de l'impressionisme (Fauvisme) m'intéresse et m'inspire. Je suis particulièrement fasciné par des peintres tels Van Gogh, Matisse. J'essaies d'adapter une vision impressioniste à un point de vue représentatif de notre 21e siècle dans lequel le temps se contracte. J'ai toujours aimé dessiner et peindre. J'ai commencé ma formation au cégep de Sherbrooke. J'ai arrêté de peindre pour une période d'une dizaine d'années. J'ai pendant ce temps voyagé beaucoup en Europe, Asie, au États-Unis. Quand je suis revenu au Canada Je me suis inscrit à l'université du Québec à Montréal en design graphique et ai recommencé à peindre, pour les bonnes raisons cette fois. Mon médium de prédilection est l'acrylique. Je peins de façon intuitive et active. J'essaie de développer un style très personnel. Je me considère comme étant autodidacte. Après avoir passé une bonne partie de ma vie dans de grandes villes, je préfère m'inspirer de mes nombreuses escapades et randonnées dans la nature. Quand je peins, j'essaies de créer une ambiance calme et harmonieuse malgré mon style de travail qui est plutôt énergique, intense et parfois vigoureux et chaotique. J'invite et je compose avec ces contradictions qui sont après tout de bonnes sources de créativité. Au bout du compte, il y'a beaucoup d'énergie dans mes tableaux! Mes sujets peuvent être figuratifs mais ils sont toujours à la marge de l'abstraction. J'ai participé à quelques symposiums et ma toile 'blue world' a été sélectionnée au concour national de l'union des artistes Canadiens.

I like intensity and the impression of vibration in paintings. I see it as a adiation of strength, of life itself in a way. My favorite period in the history of painting is the impressionist era. I’m particularly fascinated by the works of Van Gogh and Matisse. I try to adapt the impressionist point of view in my paintings in that brand new rapid paced millennium in which we live.
I used to love drawing and painting. I started my formal training in visual arts at Sherbrooke College. Then I totally stopped painting for a period of ten years. I spent that time traveling in Europe, Asia and the United States. When I returned in Canada I went to the University of Quebec in Graphic Design. I started painting again and this time I knew it was for the good reasons, I knew it was for good.. My favorite medium is acrylic. I paint in an intuitive and active way. I try to develop a very personal style so I tend to be self taught. After spending most of my life in big cities, I now find inspiration mostly in my trips in natural settings.
When I paint, I try to create a calm ambiance, with harmony and beauty, even if my style of painting is energetic, intense, sometimes chaotic and vigorous. I consider contradiction as being a good source of creativity. In a way, lots of energy goes into my paintings. My subjects can be figurative but are always at the border of being abstract.
I have participated in symposiums and my painting blue world was selected at the Canadian Artist’s Union National contest in 2006.
